Dan Kahn
President
Dan Kahn has been entrenched in the auto aftermarket for nearly 15 years, working on both sides of the table in PR, Marketing, as an editor and at WDs and manufacturers. With a deep understanding of the media industry and the social media landscape, Kahn knows how to design cutting-edge marketing campaigns that support sales teams and drive new business. His campaigns have included some of the biggest OEM and Aftermarket names in the business, while his passion is helping grow small businesses into major operations with smoothly coordinated communication campaigns. In his spare time, Dan serves as the Chair Elect of the SEMA Young Executive Committee, volunteers for the local YMCA, drives his Trans-Am spec 1970 Boss 302 and spends time with his family.
Elana Scherr
Senior Account Executive
A Los Angeles native, Elana graduated from UCLA with a degree in Fine Art and Literature. After showing up to her interview in a big block ’70 Dodge Challenger she was deemed a fitting match for the role of account executive. Kahn Media clients get the benefit of her extensive experience with social media, automotive writing and the motorsports industry in everything from product releases to Twitter posts. When she isn’t busy in the office or out producing content for clients, Elana spends her time drag racing, road tripping, painting, reading and learning about new automotive products.
Cory Burns
Account Executive
Cory Burns spent his childhood in the pits at NHRA races, where his father drove a Top Fuel motorcycle. After cutting his teeth in the industry working for an aftermarket parts distributor, Cory began working for Dan Kahn nearly five years ago on automotive and luxury lifestyle accounts. Cory brings his knowledge of the aftermarket, love for Japanese performance cars and creative attitude to every account he works on. In his free time, Cory is an avid musician, mountain biker and enjoys attending drift and autocross events in a variety of tuner cars.
Laura Conrad
Account Executive
After graduating from Wesleyan with a degree in Public Relations, Laura Conrad followed a stint in consumer PR by packing up and moving from Indiana to Los Angeles to join the Kahn Media team. Laura’s poise, polished writing style and infectious wit makes her the perfect point person for Kahn Media’s mainstream PR initiatives, from event planning to working with major media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The LA Times, CNN and more. When she’s not attending events or in the office promoting clients, Laura spends her spare time exploring the wilds of Southern California.
Marco Gutierrez
Art Director
With a childhood spent in Galaxies and Super Bees you’d think Marco would have a penchant for muscle– but after cutting his teeth in the import drag racing scene, Marco discovered drifting and the rest was history. While wrenching on a series of Nissan 240 drift cars, Marco earned a degree in advertising from Cal State Fullerton and honed his skills as a videographer covering sports for local TV stations. Eventually he merged his two passions, and came to Kahn Media as our resident creative guru and video producer. In his spare time Marco works on his passion project – YouDrift.net.
Franco Gutierrez
Graphic Designer
When your first traffic violation involves going up an onramp sideways in an E30 BMW, you know you’re a born gearhead. Franco Gutierrez fostered a passion for driving early, matched only for his love of design. As a photographer, Franco taught himself photo manipulation before going to school to learn web design, eventually running the design lab at Chaffey College. As Kahn Media’s in-house designer, Franco melds contemporary art and in-depth gearhead knowledge for every project. He spends his off-hours hiking, partly for the hike, mostly for the drive up the hill to get there.
